Leigh Mason & Julie Forshaw

Leigh Mason started her career in England in 1985 working for one of the UK's leading lingerie and swimwear companies; she has vast experience in all areas of the industry including research, design, product development and manufacturing.

Leigh holds a HND Textiles Diploma from De Montfort University in Leicester, and as the Alumni Ambassador in Australia, Leigh still maintains her link with the University.

Moving to Australia in 1998 Leigh worked for a major retailer in quality assurance for three years. In 2002 she established her own consultancy. As one of Australia's leading bra and swimwear technical specialists, Leigh has been regularly commissioned by many leading brands to consult on development of their product range.

Leigh has worked extensively in Europe, Sri Lanka, China and the United States.

Julie Forshaw started her career in 1980 at the same leading UK lingerie and swimwear company, she has vast experience in sourcing, design, patternmaking & product development. By 1994 Julie held the position of Design Director, a position she held for the next fifteen years. In this time Julie was fully accountable for the design team and the strategy of a number of global brands.

Julie has worked extensively in Europe, Hong Kong, China & Thailand.

The partnering of Leigh & Julie sees over 55 years of combined, hands on, experience in structured garments. Their experience in developing products that fit have made their partnership one of the few global authorities in this area of expertise.

The Right Fit

To offer you the right fit is a QSC passion. All collections are available in a range of mix and match separates. For a superior fit, Bikini Tops and Tankinis are available in cup sizes – so you now buy swimwear as you would buy your bra. Bottoms are available in a range of rises; hipster, bikini and full brief to give you the tummy coverage you prefer.

Your Style

The key to getting the right style is to buy the shape that is right for your body shape – not someone else's… If you find the right style for your shape you can look, and most importantly feel, a million dollars. Get it wrong and well, I guess we've all felt like that at some time in our lives…

The correct choice of swimwear is like putting on the perfect pair of shoes. Would you wear your stilettos to the gym? We cannot all wear every style of swimwear, anymore than we can all wear 4 inch heels. Some of us look great in flats.

Queensland Swimwear Company is fanatical about swimwear. And most importantly, making you feel good about it. Swimwear should be a 'feel good' purchase, not a fearful one. It should be about good times, leisure, holidays, sport and having fun, not something in the back of the drawer you dread having to pull out, never mind wear in public.

QSC is proud to supply swimwear for nippers and families to Australian Surf Life Saving clubs.

In memory of Gillian, (Leigh’s Mum), QSC has a continuing commitment to raising awareness and funds for Ovarian Cancer and the search to find an early detection for this disease, as currently there is no test for this.
